Works fairly well with land destruction. In other words, never play this card. Land destruction = hate. Hate reserved just for you.

I like this card. Mana denial is a longstanding and flavorful part of black's color-pie that just does not see a lot of love these days.

"That land doesn't untap as long as you control Mana Skimmer."
