This is one card whose name and abilities I thought would be perfect for Theros and its scrytastic spells in each colour... maybe over the next two expansions? As a signature of sorts for Keranos?

Anyways, the cost of this card is a bit high, but considering its a damage spell, and topdeck manipulation, IN RED, you really can't argue. sure, the damage is dependent on the top card, but if you run a cost heavy deck, you really can't go wrong. Plus, If you have something like Lurking predators, you can potentially get that big creature into play early, too.

Hilarious in my blue-red Eldrazi deck. It features things like Sage of Epityr to fix the draw in preparation for this spell, and shoots the opponent for a ton of damage. While it's far from reliable, this is a very fun common to play in slower formats.

not quite as fun as Undying Flames but much more versatile. I might just have to remake my Exploding Wurms deck for this card though. It was pretty fun flinging an Autochthon Wurm at people.

Combos aside, this card is solid in "big fat dragon"-style decks, where there are plenty of 8+ cost cards to go around.

This card is perfect in a miracle deck using Thunderous Wrath, Temporal Mastery, and Devastation Tide. Just cast it on their end step, Scry to your expensive miracle, reveal, burn, and the profit on your next draw step. See also: Blast of Genius
