Dwarven Weaponsmith has an extremely weak ability. It allows you to turn your artifacts into +1/+1 counters. If it worked at instant speed, this would be a decent (if limited) ability. But since you must do it during your upkeep, you can't use it as a combat trick, or to sac an artifact that was all ready headed to the graveyard. There are few artifacts that you'd ever want to sacrifice to the dwarves. Perhaps this could be used effectively in conjunction with The Hive, or it might be a good way to get rid of a pesky Mishra's War Machine. With all that said, the Weaponsmith is a 1/1 with an ability for 2 mana, so not completely unplayable.

This is why dwarves have disappeared from the multiverse. The weaponsmith couldn't keep up the supply of weapons for their army. They could only forge one weapon each morning (or however long a turn would be), and only if you provided junk parts for them to consume.

Hmmm, you should use R&D's Secret Lair and play the German limited blackborder version of this card!! It clearly states that ALL your creatures get a +1/+1 counter for a sacrificed artifact! :D
