It's possible to cast this indefinitely with a combination of Stonybrook Bannerets and at least one Merrow Reejerey, along with Intruder Alarm to keep your merfolk untapped. The bannerets will reduce the card cost and the Merfolk Reejerey will let you untap your spent lands, while Intruder Alarm will let you tap your merfolk freely, since they all become untapped when this resolves anyway. Best of all, all these cards are already great in a merrow deck.
