@Trollking

So most auras aren't legacy-playable, you say? Well, I never...
Seriously, though, everyone knows about the potential downsides of auras. Not everyone plays in formats where one or two-drop removal is common, though. Not to mention this card, Edge, and its supporting Liege all came from Eventide, and Shadowmoor block didn't have either of white's one-drop removal all-stars. Unmake seems more likely in that environment, and while that still hurts, you at least get to swing once or twice. For people using Dark Ritual, though, who clearly aren't playing in a limited environment... yeah, that's a lot of cards to commit to a single unprotected target.

If you know your play environment, though, as you should, especially if you're just playing the current standard, you can make plays like this that would seem absurd elsewhere. I wasn't around for Shadowmoor, unfortunately, so I can't say for certain whether it would actually be a good play, but I wouldn't be so quick to j... (see all)

TrueBloodWolf, I think it's because having it out turn one is no better than turn two without haste, and needing a quintessential combo piece just to have it ready to block turn one haste critters isn't worth it.

My brother loves to annoy the hell out of my by playing this first turn and then enchanting it with not one, but TWO Edge of the Divinity (not every game, but it happens often enough for me to want to snap his neck). It's pretty annoying to stare at an attacking turn two 7/7 Lifelink. I don't care about his life total anyway, because I always mill him to the death.
Anyway, I really hate the Nip. It's kinda useless by itself only, though. Edge of the divinity makes it playable.

I honestly think the Hag creature type is really cool. I would just like to see some more of them.

Turn one: Plains/Swamp, Nip Gwillion
Turn two: Plains Swamp, Edge of the Divinity (or perhaps even Twice), and if you don't draw an additional, Unholy Strength

No humans in Shadowmoor/Llorwyn, otherwise she would have been a Human Wizard (or Shaman, or Druid, or... something), and being black she has no place in Kithkin. So WotC dug up an old creature type to put her in.
