Damn... this is pure card advantage for green.
Pump this out turn 2, and get an extra 3 cards in your hand turn 3. If your opponent bolts him you still get the free lands.
Once he's on the field you could hit him with Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile. And if you do that you are still giving your opponent some sort of advantage. If you have two mana, you could sac him in response and get the draw anyway. So it kind of reads: If you don't counter this card, your opponent is going to get ahead of you no matter what.

I have fond memories of putting this guy in my Wurmageddon deck. Yay green card advantage!

Sadly, under the new combat rules it can't 4-for-1. But it's still good, it's still good!

You know how good Solemn Simulacrum is?
Well this guy's better.
If you're playing green in EDH, you play him.
No questions asked.

Very nice card, I use to play him in my Rock deck. He should be reprinted.

Zendikar wants him. Not only does he search up 2 basic lands when he dies, he has 'cycle from play', so you can kill him whenever you need to get the land, and get an extra card for it.
