"When a creature blocks multiple creatures, which player determines the damage order? Does it work like banding, like blocking with multiple creatures, or something entirely different?"

You choose the order in which your creature is going to combat the opposing creatures - AFAIK there's no such thing as assigning the amount of damage it could deal.

For example, if you were to block a 2/2 and a 3/3 creature with a 4/4 creature of your own, you have a choice whether your creature is going to hit the 2/2 first, and send the rest of its damage to the 3/3 one, or hit the 3/3 first to forward the rest of its damage to the 2/2 creature. The point is that your creature first has to deal "lethal" damage (just enough damage for the opposing creature to be destroyed) for it to progress onto the next creature. This is very similar to the trample effect.

Keep in mind that, if your opponent plays, say, Giant Growth on the first creature in your "attack line", your creatur... (see all)

Hey guys! I'm really digging this creature. But between this, Elite Vanguard, Deftblade Elite and Icatian Javelineers, what would be the better to put in a solider deck?
Let's say I got 4 of them each, what would be a great balance?

I was thinking 3 Cenn's Tactician / 3 Elite Vanguard / 2 Icatian Javelineers.
This way, I get a fair chance of being agressive early game with 3 elites, a fair chance of more mid-game/late-game survivability with the tactician and only a small chance of little creature removal with the javelineers (+ my other removal (aka Oblivion Ring))

@Ava_Adore
@Pwnsaw
This creature is a chick, not a dude. Check the rack and the flavor text.

@DacenOctavio
There is a Pirate creature type. Look up Reef Pirates.

Currently making a gwu soldier deck with this in it,

Love this guy, I would give him 5/5

cheap defensive and offensive, late game, early game doesn't get much better than this

@MarlinFlake that is true for this version card, I apologise for the mistake, however I own 4 of the FNM version card and none of the normal version card, I use it allot the FNM card clearly depicts a man, so I am used to referring to it as such

My soldier deck has this, Kazandu Blademaster, and Hada Freeblade. Hada and Kazandu can automatically block 2 creatures each with her on the field. Get multiples and pump your Kazandu up and he can block entire armies without a scratch.

I would argue that he is the best one-drop for soldiers in general. They work very well as an endgame strategy when your hand is low and your mana is high.

To say that this is a good card would be a monsterous understatement.
