If the two of them deal only 1 damage, that means that individually each one of them hits like a Little Girl.

Worthless? Hardly, these duo's were built to go hand-in-hand with a certain enchantment - tailor made if you will. Play Fists Of The Demigod on this, it then becomes a 4/4 First Striker with wither until end of turn, 3/3 with first strike and wither permanently. Pretty balanced for a 4 casting cost total.

Ugh, the others in this cycle are at least playable. 2/2 first strike doesn't compare to 3/4 forestwalk or 3/5 vigilance.

I like it wall enough...it's usually a 2/2 first strike on the swing in the proper deck, and it's sometimes more...for 2 mana that you never won't be able to fix into, it's not awful.

dont let all the stupid comments about this card fool you. this is a solid, underrated card. first strike for black or red is not easy to come by.

1 more in RBU

80 monored creatures with first strike in their rules text
30 monoblack creatures with first strike in their rules text

and a total of 142 creatures with first strike which are (in addition to other colours) red or black

monowhite has 105 cards with first strike in their text

monogreen has 12 cards with first strike in their text

mono blue has 9 cards with first strike in their text

red and black have the 2nd and 3rd highest incidences of first strike of any colour.
