I don't know why this card has a bad rating, its a good creature type, its a one drop creature that can effectivly chump block unblockable creatures and stops trample. Sure it isn't a holy day and a creature in one, but obviously that would be too good of card advantage.

Actually, Silverware, we have Frontline Strategist, which IS a holy-day-in-a-soldier, and has morph for added surprise value. In fact, the Strategist is an improved Holy Day in a soldier deck. So, while I agree that this isn't a bad card, if you're looking for similarly costed soldiers to fill your one-drop slot, I think you should really look to the Onslaught block. Or at least to Elite Vanguard. Seriously.
