A little under rated right now, particularly when blue has so many cards that allow you to see what is coming. Setting up a 3CC cascade and giving your guys flight for a turn is a pretty nice combo.

Its an enchantment because you can use it just for the cascade and sac it on a later turn for an effect when you actually need it.

I could definitely see this being an instant or sorcery, but as an artifact, probably not. It's all about the flavor of the card, and a boon is like a blessing or a fortune, and such things usually don't come in the tangible, metallic forms of artifice. As for how it is as an enchantment, it's ok, being neither stellar or pitiful. It's definitely got perks because of the cascade, and the fact you can sac it for it's effect at anytime allows you to play it early and get more creatures out that could benefit from it, thus saving you mana as you won't have to play it on a turn where you might need to play a creature or some other spell.

you could cascade into ardent plea for a +1/+1 boost? I think this was great although I do agree it should have been an artifact, as they were doing colored artifacts in this set
reminds me of the 2 cmc artifact that had sac all creatures you control have flying till eot as well
