A decent mitigation card against Sen Triplets, Shimian Specter, Silent-Blade Oni, Mindleech Mass, etc.

Run it with Tolarian Academy and Windfall. Drop a whole lot of zero cost artifacts, hide a Temporal Fissure under it, Windfall, Fissure, Deserted Temple, more artifacts, Windfall...

You get the idea. I call it the Windmill.

There are broken combos. I playtested this card and came upon Windfall. I immediately realized the insane potential of the draw mechanic these two cards combined could provide. I didn't know Windfall was banned/restricted at the time.

See the article below. Apparently there was a second turn victory, but this only hid Windfall under it, which provided the other combo pieces. It didn't mill out the opponent or Underworld Dreamsed him.

You can use it with Lion's Eye Diamond, or Null Brooch or Manabond, to save cards...

Not sure of any broken combo's though...

I find it interesting that the oracle says owners graveyard, suggesting there might be a way to exile your opponents stuff with this when combined with something...

The combo in that article was probably just making tons of mana with artifacts, untapping Tolarian Academy over and over, and milling the opponent out with Stroke of Genius. So it's not that Gutha's Scepter was really part of the combo, it just allowed him to use Lion's Eye Diamond, and still be able to cast the Windfall to get a new hand.
Here's an article about Academy decks from those days:

Cards that cost zero mana are always worth a second look. It's probably not bad in decks with malfegor, null brooch, grafted skullcap or other cards that often make you discard your hand.

It's a great answer to Thoughtseize or similar discard spells in addition to its synergy with Windfall.

I guess you're right, Locohead.
Combos with this are quite obvious, though - this makes a great Hellbent tech.

I believe this was created as a way to deal with discard decks, but does anyone have any broken combos with it?
