God dangit! The only reason I bought the Green Archenemy deck was to get Kamahl, and now this comes out? Why didn't I wait?!

He's my "Back-up" plan in my dragons/titans/elves deck.

He is a kick ass back-up plan.

I opened this in the pre-release when I was thinking about making an EDH deck, so I went ahead and made him my general.

It's so much fun. Even some of the veterans get scared when they see this guy. With my limited experience in EDH, I doubt I could have made a deck without him as powerful as the one I have.

Anyway, there's always Asceticism when you HAVE to keep him protected, but in EDH, I figure you'll be able to get him back pretty easily if you can keep pumping out mana.

4.5/5 Only because he is worthless outside of his tribal deck, but man is he worth it in his tribal deck.

@ reapersaurus

I'm Okay with it. He's a Legendary and a "Leader" and he's green. For 3cmc, green has a 4/5, so a 2/2 Legendary Rare with a couple of tribal abilities isn't too bad. Red has some many low cost burn spells that do at least 2 damage that he isn't an unanswered threat. If his toughness was any lower, it would be killed by anything that does damage and if it were any higher, there wouldn't be nearly as many answers.

He reminds of Kamahl.

Elves are looking pretty sweet right about now.

This card WOULD be good in an elf deck probably with an Oracle of Mul-Daya or something... nice card would do well with Garruk...

Practical Standard usage be damned. This guy's got legacy and EDH written all over him. I can't wait to put him in my elf deck with playsets of priest and archdruid. Now ive got a 5th spender elf along with all my joraga warcallers. Instant speed overrun anyone? Too bad trample doesnt apply to blocking... Oh well! I'l just regenerate all my elves for no raisin!
4.5/5 - just caus he can't regen himself. Otherwise, the trample guy elves always wanted.
