This is not bad at all, blocking 1/1 creatures all day and regenerating any creature for R.

I don't understand why this card is bad. Its awesome in so many ways, from flavor to playability.

(Card Rating: 3.5) This was the first card I ever opened in a pack of Magic cards. At first glance, the card seems rather unplayable because of the 0 offense. Don't let it fool you, this card can be nasty for an opponent playing red or against creatures without trample. In two-headed giant, this card's ability shines by being able to regenerate your partner's important creatures. You can block two attackers with two of your small goblins, but only lose one of your goblins. I use 2 Goblin Chirurgeons in my favorite casual multiplayer black/red deck to keep important goblins such as Wort, Boggart Auntie alive. I also use Knucklebone Witch, Boggart Shenanigans, and Goblin Sharpshooter to benefit from the goblins going to the graveyard. I EVEN used him once to regenerate an opponent's Child of Alara in a multiplayer game when it bl... (see all)
