@kothsapprentice: Haven't there been infinite mana combos since back in the day?

Not so good back in the day, but now that they have infinite mana combos like Myr Galvanizer, it is totally broken.

Yes there have been. Before Paralyze was changed only to trigger at the beginning of upkeep, using only Alpha & Antiques cards you could create infinite mana during upkeep. You needed Urzatron and animated paralyzed Candelabra. Best place to put that mana was Rocket Launcher.

@kothsapprentice: With the mana, you only flip until you win. You cannot repeat it to destroy multiple creatures, so I do not think this is anywhere near broken. Paying tons of mana to destroy on creature would not be such a good deal.

This can find a home in either thumb decks, or creature-less decks. It might work in ramp decks but there is probably better things to spend 7-11 mana on each turn.

What happens if in response to this card's ability being activated, an opponent destroys the only legal target creature you control? With the new oracle text, can you use this ability whenever, even if you don't have a creature, and losing just becomes a failure to destroy their creature?
