This is still one of the few ways (indirectly) that monoblack can deal with non-creature artifacts. It's also somewhat amusing to use this guy to get rid of someone's Mox.

At last, a use for staff of zegon, and the other expensive chaff. Can also be used to kill opponents artifacts with creature kill, or a few prodigal sorcerers.

Aladdin's Ring and Aladdin's Lamp are both prime targets both for the Poltergeist, both for their absurd cost and for the sheer WTF factor of beating an opponent to death with a brass lamp or, God forbid, a small ring.
Interesting note: Umbral Mantle allows him to possess multiple artifacts at once!
