I love all of these lands,
It's some of the best mana fixing out there.
I just wish they'd produce some for enemy colors.
It wouldn't be too hard to do it and set it to Rare status, right? D:

Actually, the best thing about these lands is that they require you play at least 6 or 7 basic lands, or they enter the battlefield tapped. This means basic lands are not completely obsolated (compare Ravnica-era where people play only 2 basics per deck, and the number is not 0 only because Ghost Quarters were around. And also Five-Color Control during Lorwyn and Jund during Alara.)

Back in Ravnica's times, not only are the duals and the bouncelands almost strict upgrades from basics (and if you only play two colors, chances are you're playing Tron), but you're also punished for playing with basics (Cryoclasm saw maindeck play). Nowadays although the duals are still vastly overpowered (Celestial Colonade and friends are particularly egregious), at least you're rewarded for playing with basics (this cycle of duals, Valakut).

Basic lands are just that, basic. They need to have a... (see all)

I agree, extremely beautiful art and flavor.

I'm a fan of these new duals, but I'd prefer the Ravnica "shock" lands be reprinted in the core set.

Hnng

I guess the best part is how even though you need four of them to get the full use out of them, they're rares, so it's probably not happening.

Wizards is really pushing not making things "strictly" better than basic lands.
