I'm so conflicted on this card, its amazing if there's a flyer, but if there's not its just a 3 cmc lightning bolt. It could combo with cards that purposely can give one target creature flying and then choose an opponent's creature, such as bant battlemage, but that seems like going out of the way to just include this one card. Situational, but really amazing when that situation is achieved, and a lightning bolt'esque card is never bad.

Not a bad spell, but situational enough to prevent it from being awesome. For 3CC you're getting a potential lightning bolt that can only hit creatures...

I think it would be cooler if there was a provision for hitting the player IF it first hit a flyer.

Regardless, a cool little spell.

If you want a 2-for-1 bolt, just run Searing Blaze instead.
