Puts a big target on your head in multiplayer, but with stuff like Isochron Scepter/Counterspell and Ensnaring Bridge, there's a chance you can sit back and watch your friends all die a slow death.

@ raptorman- yes. The version you bought was from the Battle Royale box set, which included a number of multiplayer-focused cards like this reprinted from then-recent blocks. The white border was because they were reprinted, but they used the original expansion symbol because it wasn't it's own expansion.

Multiplayer this could be somewhat useful considering black has little life gain cards.

Reprint sets up to Starter 2000 used original expansion symbols: Chronicles, Anthologies, Battle Royale & Starter 2000. From Beatdown they started to have new expansion symbols in reprint sets.

Reprint sets witch are sold in premade packages of cards use the commonality marking of the origin set even though the commonality doesn't mean anything when you get the same cards in every packet.

Basic sets didn't have symbols up to the the fifth edition. 6th edition forward they had their own symbol.
