Everything about this card is beautiful. The efficiency, the flavor, and most of all, the fact that its the best of its cycle.

I made a casual Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer deck with this card and not only does it help provide metalcraft fast it also then gets +3 pump from Jor Kadeen. A 6/1 first strike is a monster.

I made an aggressive white artifact deck, and the only card I've been more excited to draw than this is Stoneforge Mystic. This guy is really good, really fast and relevant for far more of the game than most two-mana creatures.

This guy is 1st-pick material, all the way. He doesn't commit you to a color, goes in absolutely any deck, and helps with the aggro plan that is ideal in this format. I had expected his one-toughness to be an issue that would drop his value a little; notsomuch. Yeah, Pith Driller will kill him, and Arc Trail, and Blisterstick Shaman, and even Instill Infection, but the fact is that your opponent won't always have those answers. And when they don't, this guy destroys.

One of the best commons I've ever laid eyes on. Coloured artifacts with Phyrexian Mana really are awesome. Pity there weren't more in the set...
