This slot should have EASILY gone to Kinsbaile Skirmisher.
A strictly better creature, AND it gives you one more card to reveal to Rustic Clachan.
If not that, then Kjeldoran Outrider and Veteran Armorer are also strictly better soldiers.

i prefer the old school art with the male soldier...she seems a bit boring. Well this is a vanilla card so it fits well. the old art is more intense thats all.

I agree with you, but saying Strictly Better doesn't exactly mean it is.
Kinsbaile Skirmisher isn't 100% better. Since it isn't a human, it doesn't benefit from any Human bonuses, and arguably, there are more Human bonuses than Kithkin bonuses.
If the Human subtype worth the given +1/+1 until E.O.T.? Maybe, maybe not... depends on what you're playing.
You are nearly 100% correct about Kjeldoran Outrider and Veteran Armorer...
However, let's say you have Lightning Bolt in you hand, and are deciding which creature to kill: which would you kill? I'd say Glory Seeker would be second-last to be targeted (since Kjeldoran Outrider has a shield-pumping ability... which ACTUALLY should make it strictly better :P).
But yeah... it's nothing special. I'd say it's better (not strictly, mind you) than Runeclaw Bear
