I love that dude, not only because of the art.
- Your opponent has weenies and you play this, then they are doomed. Either when this stays in play or when it dies.
- If unblocked it deals a nice 3 damage each turn to your opponents.
- If it's blocked it kills even 4 toughness creatures.
- When it blocks it still kills 3 toughness creatures.
- if you put any form of lifelink on him (best loxodon warhammer) he gains you tons of life just by sitting around, from the damage it deals to itself, each player and each other creature.
- and if you really need to clear the table, play a second of these little buggers. Then they destroy each other in the next turn, dealing a total of 4 damage to everything.

Grafted exoskeleton for a lot of fun. just make sure your opponents have more poison counters than you do, which shouldn't be hard if you are playing an infect deck or with proliferate.

Truly bizarre art, I love it. Black could stand to use some more insanity in its art.

Isn't this also called "Bad Potato"? Great with Soul Link, Lifelink, Spirit Link. A friend of mine also comboes it with Rude Awakening, very funny.

@John-Bender: Strange that you say that, Plague Spitter always reminded me vaguely of the "Sandcrawler" from Star Wars, the vehicle with which the Jawas collected forgotten trash in the desert.

Crazy artwork, they almost look like the big creatures from Nausica of the Valley of the Wind

We need more weird artwork like this, especially in black.

I like this card...not only can you drain your opponents life and kill most token decks, enchant it with Soul Link and have fun gaining more life than you lost!! HAHA!! Also, it works with Mephidross Vampire

P.S.: AWESOME art, too!! woot-entag for weird creatures!!

Armadillo Cloak is nice with it, but Charisma ends up being quite a nasty shock.

Worst deertick I've ever seen.

For some reason I immediately thought of Salvador Dali when I saw the art. The powder blue skies, arid landscape and odd creature that looks distorted in space just screams Dali style surrealism.

Mirrorweave to have stupidity happen.
Just imagine, a bunch of potato-penguin crossbreeds pinging each other into oblivion.

My Plague Spitter is so charismatic

This guy is one of the reasons I play legacy instead of Modern most of the time. He eats so many strats, deck archtypes, utility creatures, or trades with mid-range creatures.

He picks at their life total or planewalkers and is unsavory to block (I 3-for-1'd someone the other day because they blocked, another guy got 5-for-1'd by not paying attention to all of the stacked damage), all the while he is an unassuming 2/2. He gets around Moat and Propaganda effects, triggers bloodthirst, eats annoying low toughness hexproof/shroud creatures, and is quite literally one of the best 3-drops in the game.

Just try running him in a few decks, even at the legacy power level, and you'll love him (and all for about $.25.) Even in casual you'll eat most zombies, vampires, elves, goblins, merfolk, soldiers, tokens, faeries, and he does it on death too! That makes him eat Swords to Plowshares and Oblivion rings that... (see all)

How the hell can a big bloated stinking malformed disease-ridden sack of pus be so Charismatic?

Art's even creepier when you consider that those things were probably the things that spread the Phyrexian Plague that killed off a bunch of Dominarians, including poor Hanna :(

What about Lashknife Barrier?
This guy just needs deathtouch!

Mirrorweave on this guy with 2+ creatures out is an insta-board wipe...that may be pretty good in U/B control

Nasty critter, 1 of this on the field is enough to make weenie decks cry. This guy is also strong enough to smash any 4 toughness creature on offense or 3 on defense. Can kill shroud creatures such as Blurred Mongoose with ease
