Innistrad has some surprisingly playable commons. This is one of them. However, in limited, this card is pure awesomesauce. I managed to draft a B/R pure vampire deck with three vampiric furies, and they really ***ed my opponents of: Makes for a perfect trap, and even if he or she suspects something, letting my vampires through will give them +1/+1 counters... so, happy deciding

And yes, I did win some games with this card (use with stromkirk nobles and bloodcrazed neonates)

SeiberTross, I can also see this being constructed playable, assuming RB Vampires will be a competitive archetype. I pulled two of these in my sealed pool, and even went RB, but didn't have the vamps to make it worth it. In a deck packed with Stromkirk Noble and Bloodcrazed Neonate, though, they'll need to be blocked, and this card could very well net you a 2-for-1.

I could actually see this being less than limited fodder. With so many of the Vampires that HAVE to be blocked, the pump and first strike can be truly lethal. There's a fine point to this, but this can take away removal slots in a deck that runs correctly, much like a giant growth like effect.

In fact there are so many combo tricks around, some of the fast hard hitting decks may become hard to beat.

When I first saw that art I expected either a Feast of Blood reprint or an Urge to Feed reprint.

A nasty surprise for a lot of things trying to block your Slithpires. Sure, an evasion ability may be better in its stead, but with Fury you stand a decent chance of mauling your opponent's blockers on your first attack, clearing a way for your second next turn.

It's interesting that RedBlack vampires was already pretty competitive when Zendikar was in standard. Now it looks we're seeing the shift from vamps splashing red work some burn in to red cards being a central part of their strategy. We may even see mono-red vamps.

I do agree with Vandarringa. When i look at this i see a slightly cheaper kinda Overrun sure its not it exactly but it does help push damage. It could be a finisher late game. This could be a really evil card if Red Black Vampires do make it. It could be really nasty in modern or extended. For all who read this and think extended no one plays that I am know that but I must say it to be correct. It could be really fun in casual too. Personally I play casual and I would use it

Vampires are becoming red, and I love it. This card is Incredible, and unless they have Titans out, if you have 3 or more vampires attacking, you always want to cast this.

You have 3 2/1 Bloodcrazed Neonates attacking and two untapped mana. They have 3 1/1, 2/2, 3/3, or 4,4 blockers and no mana. If they block all of your Vamps, cast this and wipe the board. If they let all of them go through, cast this and hit for an extra 6 damage. If they block one or two of them, cast this, kill those creatures, get some extra damage through. In all cases, you keep ALL of your vampires.
