Not played... Reduced in value! I will keep opening Rootbound Crags, and each will be worth less than the last! excellent...

Obviously It's a good card, I run two of these currently in a modern tamanoa deck, but I really love the art for this card. I think it perfectly captures the idea. And it's peeerdy.

Each of the duals have various decks they fit better into. The copperline gorge cycle (called scarlands) are probably the best for Aggro. Why? They don't care about what lands you already have in play and you only plan on getting three lands or so.

These lands work best with Shocklands, original duals, and fetchlands. They don't play well with themselves as a deck can easily be oversaturated by non-basics that have no Land types. Thus, these are worth more in decks that aren't splashing and plan on getting more than 3 lands reliably.

Hello eureka moment as to why this cycle is in M13, rather than the shocklands. It has to do with the Isolated Chapel cycle in Innistrad. It wouldn't make sense to include both these five AND the shocklands in the same set--one or the other, not both. So, this half-cycle stays in the main set, and RTR block will progressively yield the returned shocklands. End result: By the time the third RTR set comes out, both the full Glacial Fortress and Hallowed Fountain sets will be available. Otherwise would have put opposed-color decks in Standard slightly ahead of allied-color decks in the mana-fixing department.

Uhh, guys?

Did you know that Sunpetal Grove is $5 now, from $2?

Did you also know that Stomping Ground will be reprinted in Gatecrash?

Ok, good. I'm just going to horde a few dozen of these once people figured this out.

It really is a legitimate land cycle, and I absolutely appreciate the viable, money-cost-accessible set of dual lands... but am I the only one who feels like they've gotten a bit played by now? By M14 it will really be time for a change ;)

Yawn, these were already boring im M12, give me new and exciting please. Also, hardly anybody but werewolves play R/G anymore so yea, reduced value makes me a sad panda.

M14 better step it up with new lands or im... Doing something about it! Yea!

I really hope they keep these in standard, decks should always have easy access to at least 2 colors in standard.
