A paraselene is a bright spot on a lunar halo caused by the refraction of light from ice crystals in clouds, in case anyone was wondering. A parhelion is the same thing but with the sun and way cooler.

Well, there are 17 Auras, many of them common, and 12 other Enchantments, mostly rare.
Contrast that to Scars of Mirrodin's 13 Enchantments, Zendikar's ... 26 (OK, there were a lot of Quests!), and M12's ... 27. Hmm.

Also, 1 life seems like such a paltry reward for playing this at Sorcery speed. Compare Tempest of Light/Back to Nature on the one hand and Multani's Decree on the other.

Still, I'd like to see this with Enchanted Evening and some indestructible or suspend guys.

Innistrad must have incredible tides.

As mentioned by brunsbr103, paraselene are bright knots to the left and the right of the moon which can occur if you have a moon halo due to ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. The same phenomenon, parhelia, are much better known as sundogs.

Therefore, the actual paraselene in the image are to the left (just above the treetop) and to the right of the moon.

Assuming optics work the same on Innistrad as in our world, that ice halo is the 22° halo, the most commonly visible halo phenomenon after parhelia/paraselene (which are brighter). So if this halo is 22° radius... The diameter of the moon is about 1.5 times the distance between the halo and the edge of the moon, therefore each "space" is 2/7 x 2 x 22° = 12.6° and the moon diameter is 3/7 x 2 x 22 = 18.8° on the sky. On Earth, the moon diameter is a measly 0.5° and it already looks large. This moon is over 1400 times larger in the sky (by area)!! (As an aside, the halo should be ... (see all)
