Keeper of the Dead! Why are you back? Why are you burning things?

removal is at a premium in draft and this is no exception. a high pick and one of the best commons in the set. insane art too.

Any removal that you can flashback is worth something in limited. Still, even in that format, flashback is barely a redeeming feature. If it cost one less to cast, one less to flashback and flashbacked in red, it would be much nice. Shame about the art, it could have gone on a much nicer card.

This card has actually won me a couple of limited games.

Like Burning Oil, I like that this is direct card advantage. I don't like that the flashback cost is so expensive. 2/5

There's a lot of things that could've made this card more... vampire-like.

The colours are all there (Red and Black), so why isn't this more Vampire-y?
The art features a vampire (right?): what's the problem?

If so, maybe it could gain you life as well, like Sorin's Thirst.

It would fit into the player-targetable version of that with Flashback, which, although more costly, can be played again.

Regardless, the damage is done, and there's nothing we can do about it. 1.5/5. I'd rather play Geistflame or Burning Oil.

I don't get why people are quite so anti- this card. Yes, it isn't the best, but it is a reuseable shock. Quite a lot of creatures in the block are 1- or 2-toughness, so this acts as removal. It can also push through the final two points you need to win the game. And it's an instant.

Not first pick, but certainly not as useless as many of you seem to think.

Hey look its Lady Gaga =D

Honestly it helped me out in limited other than that this will never see any type of play.

This card is so bad. I actually expected a lower rating.

3 mana for 2 damage? If the normal casting cost was better, it would be really good. Like 2 mana for 2 damage instant with 6 mana flashback. I'd try that out. At 3 mana, this is just terrible.

Why oh why couldn't this and Bump in the Night have had cheaper flashback costs?
