Protector of Thraben, making non-creature spells cast more? Get the flavor? Neither do I...
nonetheless, it is a wonderful card, but I'm a Vorthos and this just doesn't strike me as flavorful, which legendary creatures should be
she should have some anti-zombie thing, as they were facing a zombie army at the moment, or an effect that makes all the creatures of the night in the set cost more as the guardian of the holy city of Thraben
instead she has this effect...which is awesome, and combined with costing 
and having first strike is even better, but it's just...blah flavor-wise, because Thraben wasn't being attacked by mages, but monsters
also, I was playing the Innistrad Human deck in Duels of the Planeswalkers, and it does inhibit in certain ways
the whole point of that deck is to be fast, and making it so 2 mana noncreature spells cost 3 does actually make a difference
