If your opponent plays red, he will most likely burn the creature you want to enchant with this to death, in reponse to you playing this. Better play a good creature instead.

It always bothered me that the Scarabs didn't just grant full protection from a single color. Color hosers should hose, not mildly irritate.

This card is AMAZING if your opponent has any red cards on the battlefield. If it so happens that they don't, the card is pretty much useless. :(
