Why hasn't this been changed to "When Enigma Sphinx dies..."?

Living_Wings: Because of control effects.

The current wording specifies "put into your (i.e. this creature's controller's) graveyard from the battlefield". Therefore it only triggers if the owner of Enigma Sphinx still controls it. If I Mind Control your Enigma Sphinx and it dies, it doesn't go to my graveyard (it goes to yours), so it won't trigger.

However, "dies" means "put into any graveyard from the battlefield". If this card said 'dies' instead, it would trigger even if the controller is not the owner of the card. Thus if I Mind Control your Enigma Sphinx and it dies, the ability would trigger, but I would control the trigger. Therefore, the Enigma Sphinx would go into my library, even though you own the card! This, obviously, is not desirable in non-silver-bordered Magic.

Very sweet art. Surprised there are no comments on this card as of yet. It's rather interesting to have an esper colored cascading sphinx in my opinion. Seems like it could be really legit if used in the proper deck.

This card is pretty good. My favorite sphinx is still Kitchen Sphinx. He tells the best riddles.
