When is four power for two mana bad? When it's Dandan. It falls into the trap that many cards in the early days fell into: if you're going to jump through hoops, you want a decent payoff. A four power attacker is fine, but not when it will almost certainly die the first time it attacks. The payoff here, of a one-toughness creature, just isn't enough for a card with islandhome. As, say, a 3/3 it would probably have been playable.
