I've been having a lot of success with decks heavy on white 2 CMC creatures. In a deck with 16-20 such creatures and maybe 2 or 3 of these, I no longer have to worry about board wipes. However, there is a lot of graveyard hate in standard right now, so one has to be prepared for that too. Its definitely one of my favorite rares of the set so far.

This seems like a very powerful way to regain card advantage after a sweep. That's the obvious application for it, but isn't that good enough? You don't have run a fair amount of creatures with the same mana cost, but even if you run lots of 1-drops, they are usually less effective after a sweep and when the game is in the mid or late phases... so only getting the more relevant creatures isn't so much of a drawback. Hell, getting even 2 creatures back is still good.
Of course, ETB effects will make this guy even more abusive.

I can see this being played in a Boros deck. All those haste creatures and enter the battle field triggers. I think it's appropriately costed because if it was any cheaper it would be ridiculous. And I love seeing any and all reanimate effects in Standard.

One sided recursion is always a good effect. It's expensive, but if you want mass reanimation I'd imagine there will be more small fries in the graveyard than big ones. You use other spells for bigger targets.
Soul Sister deck, comes to mind...

I suppose it couldn't hurt to raise all my Cemetery Reapers, Death Barons, and Unbreathing Hordes from the graveyard all at once.

@ martianshark: Zombie self-mill deck has better with Zombie Apocalypse. But this card definitely has a place somewhere.
Great art, powerful ability, an only a tad expensive :P

That won't be the case as far as colour identity goes. The black/white hybrid mana symbol on extort cards is in the reminder text, and is not part of the card's actual colour identity.
If that were the case, the original printing of Trinisphere would only be usable in mono black decks.

So I heard Blood Artist is a thing.

Very nice. Also, it's possible that in the near future, because of Extort, the Hybrid Color Identity rules for EDH might change. This might become playable in either a mono-White or mono-Black deck! :D
CURRENTLY, this is not possible. The MOST PREFERABLE way to change rules to make Extort nicer, is for Hybrid to just be made to work like it should :D
