So many commenters just completely disregard the fact that limited is a legitimate and popular format, where many non-constructed worthy cards have a solid place.
This is one such card - it's only viable in some casual decks in constructed, but in limited, it's an anthem affect at uncommon, on a creature with evasion and a high enough toughness that it often won't be able to be blocked effectively. Creatures are a huge part of limited, so being able to get a usually non-creature effect (anthem) on a creature is just gravy.
At 5 mana it's not an auto-pick, but when you have them you'll be happy to play them in most cases.

I am a huge sphinx fan, and have a very powerful sphinx deck... This wouldn't even be an after-thought. One of the worst sphinxes printed... ever. Art is plain too :(

Basically a flying wall that buffs your other creatures during your attack phase. Drop 
from the cost and I would think about playing it.
