This may be a record. I can't think of a single other card that was printed four times in ten months in four different sets, especially directly after its first printing.

Boros Guildgate was printed four times in 2013 alone. Note that the nature of most constructed Boros decks (even in Standard, with Temple of Triumph immediately introduced in Theros) makes running the Guildgate an undesirable choice.

That being said, do you think that there might be a void that common dual-lands are now filling?

In a format where you can only run one of each card, every dual is a usable dual.
