Rampant Growth on a creature? I feel like I really want it be {2}{G} for 2/1 or 1/2; or {3}{G} for 2/2 or something.

I think this card without the context of Llanowar Elves and Fyndhorn Elves would seem like 'not enough', but with those and Wood Elves, it should play absolutely fine in your deck =)

this is a good example of Elves and Goblins really both wanting and needing to play pretty Tribal- they rarely are as impressive splashed into other decks.

Well one advantage this has over birds of paradise, if they nuke the creature you keep the ramp. One huge disadvantage is its not coming out until turn 3 without help.

Would rather run cultivate, but I guess this is an option if your running elf tribal or cloudshift.

I keep waiting for them to print a card called "Verdant Bloom" just so I can make a joke about the flavour text.
