Notice red and black are probably the two colors with the most pumping involved in their x spells and creature abilities.

Never underestimate the Time Spiral storage lands. This and Dreadship Reef stand out as great choices for control decks; much like Think Twice, they provide a good use for your mana in the event that your opponent doesn't play anything worth countering.
