I used to run Creeping Mold, and that was plenty good on it's own. Also great fun with Conjurer's Closet.

That's seven times in a little under five years. Not that I'm complaining, of course; this thing is awesome.

Okay, the card is fantsatic, and I'm not for complaining about seeing him come round in yet another set... But maybe, just MAYBE it's time to give him another art? 7 prints on the same art? Admittedly it's quite the iconic art, but I would like to see another pretty picture to gawk over.

This guy has been a total workhorse in every set he's been reprinted in, and this one is no exception. He does everything Vraska's deck needs to win; he's card advantage, creature kill, and noncreature removal all bundled into one amorphous package.

The only problem with the Slime here is that you've only got one in the deck. With just Mold Shambler and Vraska the Unseen's -3 as alternatives, you'll be hard pressed to win the game if the opposing Jace player resolves a Future Sight after your Slime hits the battlefield.

All the same, this is a beautiful 5-drop that feels good to tap out for. This uncommon slot did not go to waste.
