I use this and Sinew, if room allows. Both are good.

I think Plated Sliver is the third-brother of Sliver decks: Muscle Sliver and Sinew Sliver overshadow it, but it is still 1 CMC and shares the White colour (which also allows for Talon Sliver and Sidewinder Sliver to get some action).
Personally, I'd rather play this than Virulent Sliver, because when you're playing sliver's, what would you rather have:
A 1/2 (or 2/3 +), or a 1/1 (or 2/2 +) with poisonous 1?
Sure, you can stack poisonous, but when your sliver's are dying to Sanctuary Cat, you have to stop and look at what you're doing with your life... Poison Counters? C'mon...

Sidewinder Sliver overshadows this, because instead of giving your slivers +0/+1, it gives your opponents' creatures -1/-1 when they block. Not only is that better numbers for you, but it actually kills creatures with 1 toughness before combat even starts.
Obviously this is good by itself as a 1/2 for 1 that pumps your other slivers, but unless you're doing mono-white slivers, there probably isn't any room for extra 1-drops beyond Sidewinder and Virulent Sliver.

It's a good one. I'd chose this one over VIrulent unless I wanted to win with poison. Good with Fungus, Psioniy and Two-Headed Sliver.

It takes up too much space, 1 cmc you get a 1/2 that gives 0/1 to others. for 2cmc you get a 2/2 that gives 1/1 to others. Virulent should always be first drop, and along with gemhide, 2 cmc slivers shouldn't be hard to play. Decent card, but there are far better choices. Specially when you can run 8x grizzly bears that buff everything.
