I like it
I liked the arcane mechanic
The zendikar traps aren't hated the way arcanes are, even though most of them suck.

It's a bit less flexible than Naturalize, but as with all Arcane spells, it has a couple of perks. Plus, green'll have the easiest time paying for all the splicing.

Splice wasn't meant to make things easier to cast, it was meant to make spells reusable.

This is a really good card, the splice cost is very expensive but to be honest that's an effect you'd happily add onto most Arcane spells if you could afford it. And green kamigawa spirit/arcane decks can ramp really quite well.

Only saved by the fact that it's the same converted mana cost as Naturalize, meaning there's no drawback in mono-green.

Strictly better than Naturalize in monogreen. You can splice one into itself for a net of 3 artifacts you can kill with just 2 cards. it's unlikely, but on the off-chance you get 2 in your hand at the same time you'll be happier for using this over Naturalize.

(or you can just use Relic Crush, but that's not me.)

I thought Splice was supposed to make things easier to cast?
