i remember starting out playing magic using craw wurms...same power and toughness...one more mana to cast with no abilities...creatures have come a long way

He's big, he's mean, he's hard to get rid of.. and he could have used one more point of toughness. ;P Nevertheless, he's still one of my favorite green fatties. 4,5/5!

@F0zzy: Yep. Shroud only works when it's in play. Same for every other ability, unless it says otherwise.

This card is amazingly epic, just imagine it with rage reflection, a 6 cmc enchantment that can directly follow up putting kodama into play, giving all creatures double strike. With the enchantment in play kodama would kill any creature who didn't have 12 toughness, and would be getting crazy amounts of trample damage through.
