I think this makes a nice combo with Kindled Fury.
"I attack with Ulamog's Crusher." "Okay, block with Goblin Arsonist.... and use Kindled Fury and Crushing Pain."
Actually it works with any first strike, but Kindled Fury just adds more SURPRISE!!!

This card is so much better than you guys are giving it credit for. The only negative aspect of this card is that it can't affect players, and that would just make it broken as all hell. For 3 mana and two cards, you can kill a creature with 9 toughness; or a 1/1 token can take out a 7/7 creature (if not a token, a Goblin Grappler'll certainly do the trick). If you only wanna use up one card, just use one of Red's many first strike or ping creatures (Jeska, Warrior Adept does both) and go wild.
I use this in my burn/control deck, and love attaching it Isochron Scepter. The only card I like more with the Scepter is Diminish, for obvious reasons.

I've tried this card a lot of times, but it's very difficult to use it properly... The best use is with a pinger, like Frostwielder or Frostling, from the same set, but outside this is quite useless.

i always feel a litte sad when looking at red anti creature. I mean compare this with terror go for the throat or swords to plowshares etc. on one hand you have atuomatic removal some of which have a few minor restraints on the other you have a card that deals dmg. usually low damage or like w this conditions that is not so easily setup. 0,5/5 if you want anti creature just go duocolor and get some black/white cards.
