If you're going for Vengeance, why not use Reciprocate? Or you could Chastise it. If it won't be a problem (And it usually won't) you can always simply Condemn the guy. Devouring Light is always at least 1 cheaper, and sometimes more than that. Or Divine Verdict or Dispense Justice or Wing Shards or...
Long story short: It's good in limited, but there are so many better options out there in any format this is legal in.

Further, why use this card when Assassinate does the same thing, is legal in standard, and is cheaper.
I'd go straight for Royal Assassin, myself.
