I played this in High Tide combo so I could play Time Spiral during my upkeep, after using all of my Reset and Turnabout effects. It also lets you do very interesting things, such as putting Time Spiral on the stack, then playing Quicken, then playing Time Spiral. You resolve the first, play all the instants in your hand, then resolve the second.

Slated to be reprinted in Magic 2014, which makes me a very happy man.

Yeah, I guess we can try sticking this on an Isochron Scepter and then, once your opponent is topdecking, Raven's Crime each card they draw.

...too harsh?

Step 1: Cast Gut Shot.
Step 2: Cast Quicken while Gut Shot is on the stack. Let it resolve.
Step 3: Cast Worldfire while Gut Shot is still on the stack.
Step 4: Let Worldfire resolve.
Step 5: Cackle madly.

@Pyromage1222

Yes, it would work. The gut shot was on the stack before the Worldfire was cast at instant speed because of the Quicken. Worldfire doesn't remove spells from the stack, so the Gut Shot was still waiting to resolve after the Worldfire resolved, so as soon as the Gut Shot resolves, unless he pulls off some lifegain, the opponent loses.

The Sudden Disappearance didn't work because Sudden Disappearance is a sorcery and as such can't be placed on the stack above other spells without the help of something like Quicken. If you had cast the Disappearance before the worldfire, it would have worked. If you had given the Disappearance flash, it would have worked.

My favorite memory with one of these involved a HUGE multiplayer counterspell war against a massive Brightflame. I played the Quicken and layed down a Grapeshot and took out a few of the control players ^^

This card is great, because some sorceries are sorceries for a reason. ;)

Only problem with this card is not having a good sorcery in hand. I like to throw this down and then Slave of Bolas during an opponent's turn. But if nothing else, drawing a card for one blue mana is always nice if you're caught in a tight spot for cards.
