Combine with Bottled Cloister

Keep your hand and be unattackable except by creatures 0 or less.

Even though it's a bridge, it still stops fliers...

Doran, the Siege Tower doesn't seem to mind.

This card is excellent with any deck that attacks with 0 power creatures.

For example, my Elf deck does this:
1. Have Ensnaring Bridge In play.
2. Attack my opponent with Taunting Elf (0 power)
3. Pump it with my Timberwatch Elf.
4. Repeat step 3 using any of the elf untap cards...

Also great to attack with Guiltfeeder, hehehe...

Or just attack with 1/1's on your turn, pump em with your spells, then play/ditch your card so your opponent's can't attack.

*Note* Just be prepared in case your opponent disenchants this. Nothing is worse than a "Suprise!" attack.

I simply love this card.

This card usually makes my opponents hate me as they sit there while I slowly mill or burn them to death, and it's great.

Works great with Sun Droplet as the damage they DO manage to get in will eventually be regained.

A solid 4/5

Why are people trying so hard to 'combo' this? Just play it in a deck where you can play out as much of your hand as you want, and can either refill it quickly enough to attack when you want, or uses a non-creature win condition.

For those that are looking to combo it though, keep in mind that triggers on attack declaration, like Exalted and Battle Cry, will resolve after the attacker/s have been declared. Meaning you can get through bigger guys than you'd usually be allowed.

Given the primary win con of most decks, if you can run this with small unblockables, you can get an easy win so long as you protect it. They can't attack, you attack each turn with guys they can't do anything to (Nether traitor is a prime example.) Simply play your spell or land every turn in your second phase.

Combine with Signal Pest for colorless evasive pumping or the best of all, Inkfathom Witch. With Tormented Soul these pumpers can quickly end opponents, and you're in Blue and Black, the best draw spells of magic and the easiest colors to discard in and the easiest colors to get evasive/unblockable creatures in.

Apostle's Blessing can protect your Bridge colorlessly; and can protect your creatures in a pinch (mostly the witch.)

Given the theme, consider Thief of Hope for occasional life-gain, bleed, and recursion of your Tormented Souls.

Simply amazing in a Burn deck. Not perfect, but not much is (and legal).

I used this card in combination with Goblin Warrens in a red goblin deck as a backup plan incase I don't get my Goblin King's out. I've gone countless matches getting 3-4 goblins each turn waiting until I have enough to kill my opponent.
My problems with this card is that I need to have 0 cards in hand in order to keep things stable, so if/when I draw a Goblin King I'll have to wait two turns in order to draw the cards required to attack, and with three of those killers in my deck my enemy might be able to kill me with flyers before I can attack.
To fix this problem I tossed a Shatter in there so I can attack quickly without waiting to build up cards.

Not perfect but then again it's only my backup plan.

4/5 - It's a double edged blade; be careful

I still wouldn't use one with nothing, I'd use Peace of Mind, Pegasus Refuge, Stormbind, or pretty much anything that gives you something for discarding...
