this card is insanely good in edh right now; which isn't to say it hasn't been good previously. however, with the popularity of tough-to-kill flying generals like sigarda, host of herons this guy can be the perfect answer. other generals he kills: zur the enchanter, sharuum the hegemon, bruna, light of alabaster, jenara, asura of war just to name a few...

@WhiteWizard42 Your list is pretty good apart from the "Protection from" creatures. Protection from green or whatnot doesn't save from this ability the same way that Protection from White doesn't save creatures from a Wrath of God. Protection only prevents targeting from what it's protected from, since Tornado Elemental doesn't use targeting Commander Eesha, Pristine Angel, Voice of All, and Mist Dragon would still take lethal damage.
