Since Journey to Nowhere still exists on standard, this card is so dissapointing for white, still its a decent card

this card is nothing to write home about, but white was becoming a bit too efficient at removing creatures. this, paired with wotc's seeming desire to thrust creatures back in the spotlight, has created a need to tone down removal quite a bit. still, it's not a very good card.

yeah, prison term would be much better. Im gonna go out on a limb here and say journey to nowhere is strictly better. I mean the creature is gone, forever, can't attack or block, for two mana. And when arrest goes away, the creature can attack and block the same turn. Not true for journey. So Journey is for sure better, by like a mile and a half. Prison term, however, switches targets which is AMAAAAZING. Shut down their early game aaaand lock up the late game titans? Yes, please.

@KyoDarkFire - Journey to Nowhere always struck me as an attempt to make Pacifism a regular Enchantment instead of an Aura. I feel like this spell is more akin to Oblivion Ring, although obviously weaker since it can't deal with Planeswalkers. And honestly, that's probably a good thing. White shouldn't be the color with the best options to remove everything. Putting things like Path to Exile and Oblivion Ring in the same format is just a bad idea. But if you're in white and need creature removal, you're probably better off with Journey.

A less-brittle, White Ice Cage. Not a replacement for Oblivion Ring by any means. While it has advantages over Pacifism, it still does nothing about triggered abilities.
