Terrible, although this was in the early days of magic.

He still has a place in history as the first creature with lifelink (mostly).

With 4 El, 4 Hajjaj, and 4 El-Hajjaj in play with coat of arms, El-Hajjaj would be 13/13.

This goes in my accent deck. Even though it's so bad; 3 mana for a 1/1 with almost-lifelink. And it's a RARE.
