I didn't always use it to kill something. Well I take that back, adding +2 power to the Mortis Dogs killed my opponent.

@ Tommy9898: In block, I'd say either Brutalizer Exarch or Entomber Exarch for the real tempo and card advantage they can generate. Even a field that didn't already have Primeval Titan or Skinrender, I'd play with them because I think they're well-designed. In a bigger format, I'd have to slam Deceiver Exarch; tapping and untapping permanents wins games, ask Splinter Twin.

I don't always kill something when enter play
But when I do, I do it after combat step when their creature has already taken damage.

Remember, both abilities of the exarch can be useful. Flametongue Kavu only kills things, while this can increase a doublestriker's damage by 4. While there are better ways to pump doublestrikers, the exarch is still good with them because it is versatile.
