Surprised that some people think this is underpowered. Considering a madness deck is going to have a mechanic to let you discard whenever you want this guy practically has flash. Destroy a fattie and drop a 1/1 for one mana, at potentially instant speed? Heck yes. And as long as you're playing black madness, might as well throw in some Call to the Netherworld to keep this guy hunting again and again.

Guys, it's pure card and mana advantage.
1/1 for {B} with madness {B}: Eh. It might be an ok card if you have weenies and you play against discard decks.
Destroy target creature with power 4 or greater for {1}{B} and sorcery speed: Basically a weaker Doom Blade for fatties.
But together... even in Modern, it's good. "I'll activate my Liliana of the Veil and pay {B} to take out your Tarmogoyf and get a 1/1" sounds good to me.
@ mattbtx: Yeah. The card as a spell won't target Kozilek but the ability would.
