I love seeing this card out, especially in mono black decks. That way they have no way to deal with the Excommunicate -> Polymorph.

You can totally play her as an EDH general!! Just make sure you have Platinum Angel out before you cast her. >_>

My Phage deck uses elves. Lots and lots and lots of elves. Mana elves, more specifically. I can play Phage on turn 1 or 2 with Dark Rituals and the Heritage Druid/Nettle Sentinel engine. Fierce Empath and Krosan Drover help a lot, too. I attack with her and Taunting Elf for game.
She's definitely one of my favorite cards. Ever.

This card works with donate, you just need to donate it then momentary blink it. 5 Mana win, maybe you mana ramped to her so she came out 4th turn (dark rituals let's say at least). Not particularly fun or rewarding of a win, but its a freebie.

@VegaSecureA They're not. COMBAT damage comes from COMBAT. Any T: ability isn't combat by definition.
