Fantastic finisher. Green being green,, at it's finest. This card is definetly better then Overrun. No doubt. You're going to have a creature with more then 3 power out by then. And Overrun is not more versatile,, it's mana cost is a too green heavy to run it on more then a dual colored deck, if that. This could still run in a tricolored deck and be most likely more effective than Overrun.
I love Overrun, but that's why it's an uncommon and this is a rare.

There is a big difference with this version, even in weenie decks. Might of the Masses with a swarm out can be pretty hilarious.

Black/green deck with doomgape, a bunch of minor creatures and a bunch of eldrazi tokens on the field. Might of masses on doomgape, stampede, made all those 0/1 tokens like 25/26 with trample and killed 3 other players in one turn. I think it's better than Overrun imo.

This card can easily be great in token decks, alot of you are forgetting that green has more cheap buffs than any other color. Primal bellow for example could easily turn a bunch of 1/1s into a bunch of 7/7s combined with Stampede.

so basically, the way I see this card is that despite powercreep they decided overrun was overpowered so they made it rare so it wouldn't be so prevalent in limited.
after all the difference in effect is meaningless most of the time, sure in some situations one will be better than the other but for the most part they seem like they would both get the job done.
However, the flavor is beautiful. The art mimics the ability so perfectly.

A lot of fun as a finisher with Grave Titan. 4 to 6 8/8 zombies with trample is really hard to come out of alive.
