I NEED this card for my Jund Dragons casual deck. My greatest fear is that he'll continue to cost $30+ for the entire time he's in standard (which I do believe he will).

Oh God wizards don't make this guy the new main villain of magic hes not even black and bolas is awesome speaking of bolas i want bolas to come back into the story along with Koth and Nissan what its been like 3 years since we saw those guys well bolas was in M13 but not in the story i mean we haven't heard from them since scars of mirrodin and zendikar

He has two good abilities to protect himself with, the ability to make a creature himself or help you cast one, so if you wait a little (maybe in commander?) you might be able to use his ultimate without killing him. Even if it were just seven lands it could still give you enough mana to win the game. Doubling season with any good planeswalker is usually very good, but with Xenagos it's amazing if you can stack it right (remember that ability called scry that they are reprinting in the same set?).
